Fans of the game will be tested to kind when the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game are launched. Unlike many other titles, 2K Sports opted to make two distinct versions of the game. There's a chance of risk in that particularly with the tiny installation base of players that accompany the latest system launch. Developers sought to showcase exclusive features that are included in these games.
Zelnick states, "The team wanted a new title built from the ground up." It's awe-inspiring, we believe. The City is an entirely new experience that elevates The Park to a whole new level. ... We hope to give you the best simulation experience as well as the most engaging basketball culture engagement lifestyle experience. This is what NBA2K has earned its name for."
The company is open to doing the same thing using NBA2K but it isn't moving at the same speed as its other top titles. Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 will be playable through backward compatibility on both next-gen systems and the latest version of GTA V, as well as the standalone version of GTA Online, won't be out until the second half of next year.
This is directly due to the limited number of next-generation devices that will be found within the homes of homeowners. "I believe there is always an intersection of taking all the time we need to ensure that the name is amazing and also being mindful of how the base installed appears like," says Zelnick. "The installed base will be smaller in the coming week than it was at date of the 2021 calendar."
Take-Two and other publishers don't see next-generation systems as an important portion of their revenues anytime soon. This is because their release schedules don't align with PS5 or Xbox Series X. However, Zelnick believes in what they can bring to gaming community.
