Skittles (Scroll down for latest photo)

Skittles has been an important part of village life in Stoke St Gregory for generations. Although much reduced in terms of teams, the Sedgemoor Skittles League is still functioning. My own memory is of the season of 1981/82, when I played for Dave Dyer's 'Oak Trees' team of the Royal Oak. We won the third division trophy and the presentation night was at The Shrubbery in Ilminster. There must be so many memories and photos out there, so please send them to Dave Evans at gregorystoke@aol.com In the meantime, here are a few of the village teams.

This was to raise money tp buy the O.A.P. minibus, which Phil Quantock then drove for the next 32 years.
